The Artist: film in development

December 3, 2010

Just before I left South Africa I signed an option agreement with Made In Africa Films for The Artist, one of the scripts I’ve written. I’m pretty excited about this project. It was a bit surreal to wake up this morning and see this link, even if it is just the poster and synopsis. It’s still very early on in development and, just like any script, it also stands a chance of not getting made. But I am feeling positive about this project and would love to see it on the big screen. You could help it get there by being interested.

Dreams Become Reality

June 3, 2010

My buddy Padraic O’Meara and I decided to make a film. The idea was not to create some thing that would take years to actually make, but to just write a fun script, work on a little to no budget, and have a good time making something. I wrote a script. We were stoked. The only problem is, somewhere along the lines we lost the plot a bit; we started looking for funding, worrying about things, and what not. We drug our feet and forgot the main aim was just to make something, for the sake of making it, and have fun in the process.

So, Padraic called me last week for a meeting. He got us back on track with an idea to shoot a short film, as a step towards the feature. I loved the idea. We had a casting yesterday and it was awesome. We are going to shoot the short film really soon. Like really soon! So watch out for it. And for now, meet Mysterio Man by clicking HERE (shot during the casting)…
